Personally, I prefer the Axure/Illustrator convention as it means less effort, but I'm afraid I have to disagree with Maarten above. I think it's better to use either one method or the other; please don't make it a pref. RP seems thankfully free of preferences at the moment and I think it's worth trying to preserve that.
