I'm trying to design a page where content "pushes" other content. As such, I need to adjust the size of a dynamic panel to shrink and grow based on an event. Is there any way to do this? If not, could we add this in the "I wish" list :) ?

There's not, but dynamic panels are invisible. Does it not work simply to vary the size of the content in each panel state?
