I know how to include/not include first-level dynamic panels in a specification doc. But when I try to generate a spec doc that contains imbedded dynamic panels (i.e. second-level panels), each state of the secondary panels overlays on top of their sister panels, making the parent panel illegible.

BTW, the rp file I'm creating is to demo an accordion checkout process (similar to www.gap.com).

I'm in Axure 5.5. Any advice? Known bug?

I'm not sure I'm following.

When the specification produces screenshots of the dynamic panel states it should only be showing what you see in the wireframe pane when that state is open. Is it showing more than that?
