Re: Set annotation fields to 'Read Only'

Hi Ezra, thank you. We hadn't considered this before, but I can see how that would be useful.

Re: Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

I have a simple suggestion. In the Dynamic Panel State Manager, is it possible to colorize the Remove and Edit State buttons. There are seven buttons and when I'm staring at a wire all day and working quickly, I sometimes hit Remove instead of rename, or Edit State instead of Edit All States.

I think a hue of red on the Remove and a hue of green on the Edit State would do wonders for fast eye tracking. Having the Red on the Remove will help me separate it from the Rename button, and Having Green on the Edit State will help me separate it from the Edit All States. I know it's small, but worth considering.

    Cheers,
    John

Or, if it were possible, incorporating existing icons for add, edit, move up, move down, and delete into the buttons.

I have also tripped up on this one - I feel the problem is this :

To rename some objects, the term used is 'rename', however on other objects it is 'edit'.

I would prefer just rename. I understand you are editing names of different objects, but it does catch me out even now I am aware.

Currently I have to slow down when renaming/editing the name of anything.

    Hello

Here is a suggestion for this fantastic tool that Axure is.

I think it would be awesome to have a right click option, for any container, that would offer the possibility to generate Lorem Ipsum text, for a specified length.

I'm created right now a huge prototype for a client and it's really a pain in the *** to copy and paste every single time a lorem ipsum when I need it :-)

    Thanks Axure team!

Hi djaiss, thanks for the request. I could have used this myself.

I'm certain I'm not the first person to think of this, but my quick forum search didn't locate it. I'd sure like a keyboard shortcut for toggling the grid display on and off.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Hi Jeff, there isn't shortcut for that. Just one for turning on and off Snap to Grid (Ctrl+Alt+G).

Re: Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

Hey, sorry if this has already been suggested...  Sometimes dynamic panels include page-level content and should allow for page notes, too.

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

This may have been listed already...

the yellow annotation icons show up anytime you type in an annotation or add interactivity. Can you create two colors for these since interaction onlys do not generate annotation icons in generated spec? i.e. if it's annotation only or annotation/interactive it's yellow and if it's interaction only it's red? It helps when we're creating duplicate interactions but only annotating the first interaction for the generated spec. That way we can keep the order number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and not generate a spec with 1, 5, 9, 10, 15...

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

Here is a feature (set of) that I'd like to propose, and I am sure that somebody already mention this.

While I love the axure and it is a GREAT prototyping tool I am still missing some of my favorite Visio features. I wouldn't even call them Visio, since these are some basic vector editing features that would extremely help me.

    These are:

Freeform tool - allow drawing of free form lines and connect them into shapes

Rotate object - allow rotation for any object

Shape operations such as: Union, Combine, Fragment, Intersect, Subtract - these will provide ability to create more hi-quality objects, shapes, masters, etc. and will allow people to create libraries more easily.

    Better Text Formatting options.

I honestly have a bigger list, but I'll keep it for now to myself, probably will mention them later.

     Thanks,

     Andre

    Kind regards,

    Andre

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

I just happened across the "flatten" command in a master's contextual menu. Nice.

This makes me think of a couple of things that I'd love to be able to do:

Select some stuff on a page. Then...

Right-click > Selection > Make Master to create a new master containing the selected widgets, and to replace them with an instance of the master.

    or

Right-click > Selection > Make Panel to encase the selected widgets with a panel large enough to hold them, right where they are.

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

I've been using RP Pro for a while now and have already made suggestions through the Feedback but nothing ever came of it.

    Anyhow here's a few

    - in the Sitemap I should be able to drag pages around and position them anwhere rather than having to attach them to something. Have a look at Firefox's bookmarks manager to see what I mean.

    - Sitemap again, why are there no shortcuts for moving pages up and down? Right-clicking and selecting move up/down with lots of pages is painful.

    - Masters, why is there no option to duplicate an existing master?

    That's it for now :)

    Cheers,

    Paul.
