Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the ability to select all text via a shortcut (ctrl-a) would be nice.  For example, when I want to copy and paste text within the specification field to use in another annotation.

Ctrl+A should work to select all text in an annotation field that is a text field (like Specification). Could you verify this is not working for you?

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

Would it be possible to allow simple arithmetic operations on variables? This would presumably mean defining variables as text or numeric. I'm prototyping an e-commerce application and it would be nice to calculate and display running totals in the cart rather than manage large quantitites of fake values.

Otherwise, based on initial explorations, this looks like the perfect tool for our purposes.

    Thanks,

Thanks Scott. We are considering this for a future release.

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

I'm sorry if someone already posted this, its a long post. But i would love to be able to edit the location and size of multiple widgets at the same time using the edit location and size window (CTRL+L). Also when i bring up the edit location and size window it would be nice to be able to switch between widgets without closing that window but simply clicking on another widget.

     Thanks!

What form will that take Victor? What I would personally like to say is a kind of permanent "inspector" panel for properties like size and location instead of a modal dialog. That would save a lot of time.

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

Hi Stéphane, that is the direction it's headed. The "inspector" panel in this release will have location and size information. The goal is to eventually have all the properties of a widget available in the panel.

yeah, i agree. Have you guys considered draggable guides, like photoshop? I know i would find that be another great addition.

    Thanks!

    Attachment: green-squares.jpg

When typing multible lines in a Text Panel wich was one lined, the Text Panel scales, but the green selection squares won't "float" in the middle. So you can't easily scale the Text Panel in width.
Now it means you'll have to click three times instead of just one time (click and dragg).

Could this be fixed in the Future Release?

I see what you mean. Thank you for pointing this out.

    Great to hear!

The one thing I was surprised to see we can't control easily numerically is corner roundess. Unless I missed it somewhere?

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

You didn't miss it. The next release will have the ability to control the corner roundness by dragging a control point on the widget.

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

    Hi,

First off, thanks for a great tool. Been using it for quite some time now and I really enjoy working with it.

And with Christmas around the corner I have some wishes that could help me in my work, and hopefully many others too.
Some of the issues have been mentioned before, so in those matters I second the opinion.

    1. Mac support. Over half of our company uses Macs, and are not all happy with using VMWare Fusion or Parallels. I know you've heard it a million times before, but I really hope you are considering an OSX version.

    2. Rich text Page Notes and Annotations. Nothing fancy. Just basics like headings, bullet points, bold etc.

    3. Cross referencing. It would be most helpful to be able to put a reference in the Page notes and the Annotations. E.g. "See page xx" and even more helpful if it were a link!

    4. Default option for Selectlist. When creating a Selectlist as annotation field the default option is blank? Please let me be able to change the default or at least let the top one be the default.

    5. Update existing specification. Probably farfetched but nothing is more confusing when someone has altered the word document without updating the RP file. Another solution would be to import from external files..

    6. Import to a RP file. XML, CSV whatever. I would really like to import content from external files.

    7. General description for entire project. Right now I can note and annotate per page and element but I have nowhere to write general descriptions for the entire project? And I would like to.

    8. Change column size in specification. When generating a two column spec the columns are set to 50/50. As I have the need for quite broad tables but slim UI (mobile phones), I would like to be able to set the size of the column to e.g. 30/70 percent. (could probably be done via the API but I haven't got a clue about c#)

    9. Folders in Sitemap (Like Masters). Would be really helpful when having 100+ pages in different categories.

    10. Track Changes. I don't have a qualified guess on how to do it but it would be very helpful to have some sort of version history within the RP file.

    11. Check box for Object Tables in Annotations in Specification Generator.
The way our company is using Axure, is that every department has their own set of Annotations. E.g. UX has UX description, UX comments etc. and Project Managers has PM description, PM comments etc.
Then we can generate separate specifications according to need just by checking annotations on and off. And therefore each department has their own separate Object Tables when generating specs.
But. It is very tedious to check all the other departments annotations off in order to generate a specification with just e.g. the UX Object Table.
So. I would really love to see a little checkbox for each Object Table in Annotations in the Specification Generator. (Please see attached image for details)

    thank you

    Kris

    Re: Suggestions for Future Releases

Hi Kris, Thank you for the requests.

     4. We've considered this but didn't want to automatically annotate each widget. We haven't come up with a good way around this... maybe a "populate with defaults" button?

     7. For now, you could consider adding the general information in the Word specification template.

     10. The shared projects feature keeps a history of "check in"'s and you can go back to any revision and export a .rp file.
