Axure RP 5.6 for Mac is now available for download at http://www.axure.com/downloads.aspx.
Finally! This release brings Axure RP 5.6 to the Mac complete with HTML prototypes, Word specifications and Shared Projects. It also includes a number of UI enhancements that the PC version doesn't have yet.
UI Enhancements:
- Widget Properties pane containing a new formatting tab
- Redesigned interactions case editor dialog
- New formatting toolbar with location and size
What does your Mac need?
- Mac computer with Intel processor
- Mac OS X 10.5+
- 1GB Memory
- 200 MB disk space
- For specifications, Microsoft Office Word 2004 (with compatibility pack) or Word 2008
- For prototypes, Firefox or Safari
Is this a free update?
If you purchased a license or renewal after February 1, 2008, Axure RP for Mac is a free update. Seriously! If not, you can purchase a renewal. Login to the customer portal if you're not sure when your maintenance period expires.
How does the licensing work?
A single user license is $589 (and $539 each for 5+ licenses) and comes with 12 months of updates. The licenses are perpetual and you can choose to renew maintenance at the end of 12 months or keep using the version you have.
Each license can be used by the same person on two PCs, two Macs, or one PC and one Mac.
If you already own licenses for the PC version, basically we're going to continue with the same licensing but let you choose to install on PCs, Macs, or one of each.
Getting Started
First, download the Axure RP for Mac installer at http://www.axure.com/downloads.aspx.
Then, either dive right in OR visit http://www.axure.com/mac-overview.aspx to watch an overview video and see the differences between the Mac and PC versions before going through the online training at http://www.axure.com/online-training.aspx.
