I am trying out your software step by step and so far it looks promising. However, being from overseas and in this case Sweden, we have a few characters not found in the Anglosaxian world, like å,ä,ö and Å,Ä,Ö.

When writing the character ä or Ä in a textpanel and then generating a prototype(F5) in order to see the result in normal web browsing, the character gets converted to TM, ie the trademark notation in subscript. So the word Välkommen (welcome) becomes V^TMlkommen.

Is this easy fixed? And when will it be fixed?

Hi Lars,

The current workaround for rendering "unrecognized" characters in the prototype is to render the text as images. This option is available in the Advanced section of the Configure HTML Prototype dialog.

We realize that solution isn't ideal, and we do plan to address this issue in a future release.

I hope the bug will be fixed soon. I met the same problem when setting text in Chinese( I though Axure Pro could not handle all double-bytes languages too).

P.S.

When the text is rendered into image, the shape of the button will be changed.

this umlaut issue is driving us nuts over here. please don't let us wait for too long.
except for that, we're happy to work with axure. we'll post a list of feature request some day though if you don't mind:-)

This is a high priority for us.  One thing you could do in the meantime is run a search and replace on all of the prototype files and switch "™" with "ä".  Hope this helps.

thanks martin, i didn't think of that one. still quite a workaround, but it seems better to me than generating image prototypes.

Any news about when we might see a solution for this in a future release?
